Previous UQMG Version Upgrade Descriptions ===================================== If you want to see the history of UQMG, read below. Super Upgrade 0010/11 +++++++++++++++++++++ UQMG 4.8.11 - Introducing UQMB, the UberQuick "Multi-National" Mission Briefer ============================================================ [This is a re-release of upgrade 11, fixing the UQMG problems caused with the last upgrade, including problems with certain missions in Maps Net1Summer and Net1Winter, ActiveX Notepad upgrade in Windows 98/ME machines, updates to months in Cyrillic. Huge thanks to Pomak, Delta9Tetra, TomC, and Dave.] Dear UQMG users, I am extremely excited to announce the immediate availability of the most exciting UQMG upgrade to date, not only it brings all new features of the UQMB, it provides every upgrade released for UQMG and UQMM to date. It is free, of course, and will bring your UQMG to version 4.8.11. The total number of updates and new features are too many describe, so I will highlight the most important ones below. All in all, IL-2 FB will bring you now more enjoyment than ever with the new features in UQMG. * Announcing the UQMB (UberQuick "Multi-National" Mission Briefer), a powerful, yet very easy to use tool that (I hope) will transform FB/AEP for mission builders. It is a separate application that is embedded within UQMG, and it allows for easy editing of Briefing files using time saving features and a standard look for your FMB created missions, including headers in different languages. The following are the features of UQMB: * Ability to edit any IL-2/FB briefing using a Windows-like interface, making it easy to use your mouse for editing functions. * Time-saving and immersion tools: - UQMB can go into the mission file and extract the mission information, saving valuable time. - Add Date, including day of the week, author information and mission title to your briefing. * Compatible with Multiplayer tags, but it includes separate, easy to see fields that make it easy for anyone to use them without the need of awkward tags in the briefing. * Compatible with FBDaemon DF Arena Campaign system tags, without the need of writing codes or tags; it also includes an expanded window for ease of editing. * International features: - UQMB can include summary and mission information in different languages including special characters for proper display in IL-2 briefings. The list of languages is as follows: - Czech - Dutch - English - Finnish - French (uses _fr.properties files) - German (uses _de.properties files) - Hungarian - Italian - Japanese (currently only supported in UQMB, but uses Unicode which will most likely/hopefully be supported in Pacific Fighters) - Polish - Portuguese - Rumanian - Russian (uses _ru.properties files) - Slovak - Spanish IMPORTANT UQMB INFORMATION: * Limitations: Aircraft Name, Aircraft Load & Map Names are not translated. Translations may not be 100% correct, however the text can be easily edited. * Requirements for UQMB only: Due to Unicode/International character requirements, UQMB requires the Microsoft Forms 2.0 Object Library to be installed in your PC. This file/library, ''C:\WINDOWS\system32\FM20.DLL", is associated with Microsoft Office, and Microsoft does not allow the distribution of that file. THERE IS ONE SOLUTION: You may download and install Microsoft ActiveX Control Pad for Free from Microsoft, which installs that file without the need for Microsoft Office. The link is below: * http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnaxctrl/html/cpad.asp [If the file is not found, UQMB will prompt you to go to the mentioned site.] UQMG/UQMM/UQMB New Feature * Persistent Directory - prior to this edition, when you opened or saved a file ("uqmg" data file, or a mission in UQMM), the Open/Save dialog would open in the default directory. Now it opens in the last directory you used. The same is true for UQMB. * UQMM Updates: - Made changes in the code which should allow the IL-2 Sturmovik file transfer work in non-English PCs. * UQMG Updates: - IMPORTANT: Save files are now located in the MAIN subdirectory. This will greatly ease the next full installation I will make available in my site. See the File menu help for better explanation. - Cleaned the bottom part of the main Interface. Rockets now are a part of the Scenery Editor, and moved help information to the Help Menu. - Added complete instructions to completely remove UQMG from your PC (very useful for clean installs) in the Help menu. - Made changes to code so that a mission is generated when the program first starts after an update. This is no big deal but will eliminate one step the users need to perform during the next full install I will make available. >>>> THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION PERTAINS TO THE PREVIOUS UPDATES (WHICH ARE ALL INCLUDED IN THIS UPDATE) Super Upgrade 0010 (UQMG 4.6.8 - Introducing UQMM, the UberQuick Mission Manager) +++++++++++++++++++++ * Announcing the UQMM (UberQuick Mission Manager), a powerful, yet very easy to use tool that (I hope) will transform FB/AEP for both Off-line and Online players alike. It is a separate application that is embedded within UQMG, yet it uses the same premise as UQMG, where three versions of a mission are generated (Single Play in None Country, Coop version, and DF version). The following are the features of UQMM: * Original Missions are NEVER Overwritten - edited missions are playable in the same location as the UQMG Missions * Ability to play any mission in FB/AEP from enemy's perspective (if flyable enemies are available) with objectives AUTOMATICALLY converted for playing as the enemy. * Play Any Coop Mission As SP Mission - Not an online player? But would like to play those Coop missions as an SP mission? Now you can, and you get to choose which plane you fly in. * Play Any Campaign Mission As SP Mission - For static campaigns, you have access to all missions in the campaign; for DGEN missions, you have access to all completed or generated missions; for DCG you have access to the current mission for ongoing campaigns (if you choose the backup option, past missions will be available in the SP country folder); for NGEN, you have access to all completed or generated missions - and you get to pick which plane you fly in, because those missions are like Coop missions. * Play Any SP Mission and Choose Which plane to fly - Ever wished you could choose a different plane for a mission? Now you can. You can even pick an enemy plane, and fly from the enemy's perspective (a feature that UQMG users are familiar with - but now is available for all missions in FB) with objectives automatically converted to enemy. * Play Any Campaign Mission, but Choose which plane to fly - Same as above but with Campaign missions. * Play Any Mission as a Coop Mission - Automatically generated for you whether you picked a Coop mission, an SP mission, or a Campaign mission. * Play Any Mission as a DF Arena - Automatically generated for you whether you picked a Coop mission, an SP mission, or a Campaign mission. Arena will only have the types of planes available in original mission. * Prohibit/Allow AI planes in DF Arena - If AI planes are allowed, only the types available in the mission are present. * Remove AI Only tags from Coop Missions - You may want to make all flyable planes available in a Coop mission. This does it automatically for you. * Copy all Stock Missions from original IL-2 Sturmovik into FB/AEP - Self explanatory. This automatic script takes care of putting all missions from IL-2 into FB/AEP without overwriting your files, your current static campaigns, or compromising license issues. As long as you are a legal owner of licenses for both FB and IL-2, the feature will work. Other feature: * Now UQMG saves and loads original date for mission - very useful if using automatic header generation for briefings. Other minor improvements: * Updated upgrd0009 missions with dates to use Data Save/Load feature. * Fixed problem with automatic briefing header generator that did not load briefing from previous version "uqmg" missions. * Made minor improvements to GUI based on user feedback regarding fore and background colors. * Mission generation message now uses the UQMG help form instead of Windows Message Box, eliminating the "Ding" sound. Super Upgrade 0009 +++++++++++++++++++++ * NEW Briefing Feature: Now when writing the briefing, all you need to do, if you desire, is to write the description of the mission. The header with summary data about the mission (plane type, position, load, weather, date, etc...) will be generated automatically for you every time you generate a mission. This will save you time in case you make modifications to a mission. You can disable this feature if you so desire as well. * Added new ROFS-132 Rocket Loads to the following Planes - Il-2 M Late: 4 loads with ROFS132 - Il-2 Type 3: 2 loads with ROFS132 - Il-2 Type 3M: 3 loads with ROFS132 * Note that the two bomb loads added to the Hurricane were included in the previous update. * Fixed Aircraft Calculator to count number of Flyable and AI Planes correctly based on whether planes are set to be "AI Only" or not as well as other previous criteria. * 4 New sample uqmg data missions to get you going with the new features. The missions are located in the "save\upgrd0009". Typically I include more missions, but these are just so you can sample the new features and go on with creating your own. * Minor updates to documentation. * THANK YOU: - Extreme_One (SimHQ and UbiSoft IL-2 FB Forums) for support and forcing me to add yet another feature relating to briefing. - PC Pilot Magazine - Computer Pilot Magazine Super Upgrade 0008 +++++++++++++++++++++ * With the previous upgrade, I brought you UQMG to include ALL 43 maps in IL-2/FB/AEP/patches. Now I bring you the total culmination of my last few years of work on UQMG. I have included the ability to customize each aircraft in a flight (Pilot Skills, Aircraft Skins, Pilot Skins, Ability to define a flight as AI only for Coop). The features of the new Skin Editor Interface - available in the Flight Editor are included below: - Edit Skin for each aircraft in an original flight - Edit AI Skill for each aircraft in an original flight - Edit Pilot Skin for each aircraft in an original flight - FULLY COMPATIBLE with Cloning, so you can have large formations of aircraft with customized features all done in seconds. - Ability to RANDOMIZE Skins, Skills and Pilot Skills for original and Clone Flights - Ability to make flight only available as an AI flight in Coop - Display/preview Aircraft/Pilot skins - Quick Config, Time saving features - Load and save skin/skill/pilot features to/from "uqmg" mission data files (UQMG is still compatible with previous version uqmg data files, so all your previous missions are compatible with UQMG) * UQMG Exclusive - Ability to randomize Clone Flight type AS WELL AS their skins! So if you have randomized clones, they will have the correct randomized skins applicable to the particular type of aircraft. * 3 New sample uqmg data missions to get you going with the new features. The missions are located in the "save\upgrd0008". Typically I include more missions, but these are just so you can sample the new features and go on with creating your own. The CFS-like template mission may take 1 to 2 minutes to generate because of the 99 waves with random skin, skill and pilot feature. * From now on, UQMG upgrades should include only new features as released by Maddox Games, new aircraft and ordinances, and perhaps new maps, as the long awaited Murmansk map which will allow interesting RAF Hurricane missions. * LIMITATION: Patch 2.04, is not released yet, but as of the currently known features, only one of them has effect on UQMG, namely two bomb ordinances for the Hurricane II.b. For your convenience, this UQMG already includes that feature. Until patch 2.04 comes out, simply don't use the two bombloads for compatibility with patch 2.01. * THANK YOU: - My wife, Jai; who put up with years of IL-2 abuse, and still does. - Shift_E, the creator of QMT, for providing an inspiration for the creation of the Skin Editor, support, for offering to help, and for not minding me developing a type of feature comparable with what he had already done. - DOM and Avatar of SimHQ forums for constantly pushing me to include Skin features - tsisqua and Bearcat99 of UbiSoft forums for always providing overwhelming moral support - Walter Pedrao, for bringing the P-47s to IL-2 - Jambock Virtual Squadron, the primier Brazilian Virtual Squadron - Starshoy and Lowengrin for amazing Campaign Generators - my initial inspiration years ago - Ian Boys for amazing skins, who made me give up on graphics and stick to programming - Butch2k, a great friend and most knowledgeable military history expert I have come across - Siggi, for constantly cracking me up, and for being one of the IL-2 community pioneers - Ilya/Luthier for being the most dedicated IL-2/FB/AEP resource outside of Oleg and his team - Finally my greatest and humblest admiration and thanks to Oleg Maddox... Super Upgrade 0007 +++++++++++++++++++++ * This patch represents a culmination of my work. As of this patch, UQMG contains single, coop and dogfight mission templates/types for EVERY SINGLE map ever released for IL-2, IL-2 FB, IL-2 FB with AEP upgrade, and all patches/updates/upgrades (totalling 43 maps). The summary of remaining and new maps previously unreleased in UQMG are as follows: + Africa/Desert/Mediterranean (Summer), w/ 3 mission types + Crimea (Summer/Sea), w/ 8 mission types + Normandy Simple (Summer/Sea), w/ 3 mission types & Battle of France Feel + Normandy w/ Small Bases (Summer/Sea), w/3 mission types & Secret Weapons feel + Net 8a "Few Trees Pacific Islands" (Summer/Sea), w/ 8 mission types + Net 9a "Small Arena w/ Objects" (Summer), w/ 3 mission types + Net 9a "Small Arena w/ Objects" (Winter), w/ 3 mission types + Net 9b "Small Arena Plain" (Summer), w/ 3 mission types + Net 9b "Small Arena Plain" (Winter), w/ 3 mission types + Net 10a "Net2 Bases w/ Objects" (Summer), w/ 8 mission types + Net 10a "Net2 Bases w/ Objects" (Winter), w/ 8 mission types + Net 10b "Net2 Bases Plain" (Summer), w/ 8 mission types + Net 10b "Net2 Bases Plain" (Winter), w/ 8 mission types + Net 11a "Net1 Bases w/ Objects" (Summer), w/ 14 mission types + Net 11b "Net1 Bases Plain" (Summer), w/ 14 mission types * Added new improved versions of QMB templates to both Pacific Island maps, equaling 7 additional mission types, or a total of 8 mission types for those templates. * UQMG is now 100% compatible with every new feature in the IL-2 Ace Expansion Pack (AEP) and patches 2.01 and 2.02: + All new aircraft and their weapon loads + Updated and corrected database with all new aircraft, including data, pictures, etc + Weapon changes - Removed SC250+4xSC250 from IAR81a - Added 4 bomb loads for CR42 - Added R4: 37mm+2x30mm for Bf110G2 - Added 2x250lb and 2x100Kg bombs for Hurricane II.b (patch 2.02 only) + ALL new maps * 47 New sample uqmg data missions to get you going with the new features. The missions are located in the "save\upgrd0007" and are organized by map. New missions are divided roughly in the following categories: - New historically based missions - Missions for new maps - Missions using new weapons - Missions using new aircraft - Missions that are just plain fun * A very late thanks to J.W. ,aka "clint-ruin" from the UbiSoft IL-2 forum for providing me the vast majority of the new weapons codes and aircraft codes for the previous upgrade. * A humble thanks to authors Denes Bernard, and George Punka whose works on the Rumanian and Hungarian Air Forces (respectively) allowed me to correct my database for aircraft included for those countries. * A humble thanks to authors Yefin Gordon and Dmitri Khazanov for their works on WW2 Soviet Aircraft which allowed me to include some good facts in some of my sample missions. * A humble thanks to authors Bill Gunston and David Mondey for their excellent reference works on WW2 aircraft that allowed me to correct my database for aircraft included for several countries. * LIMITATION: Patch 2.02, or the currently "leaked" patch introduces one new feature, namely two bomb ordinances for the Hurricane II.b. Since many people have not chosen to use this patch, there is only one sample "uqmg data file" mission that uses that feature. Simply don't use the two bombloads for compatibility with patch 2.01. * Several other engine improvements and corrections which are too many to state, plus all previous upgrades to date. Super Upgrade 0006 +++++++++++++++++++++ * UQMG 4.3.2 Ace Expansion Pack Upgrade * First and foremost, UQMG is now 100% compatible with every new feature in the IL-2 Ace Expansion Pack (AEP): + All new aircraft + All new weapons + AI Planes that are now flyable + All new regiments + V-1 compatible with cloning (all maps, all mission types) + New composite planes compatible with cloning - Mistel - SPB (Flyable as Bomber and fighter) - These planes are as easy to use as Tug/Gliders and Historical Aces * New Maps and Map Features - Added ground win objectives for Air Combat in Net 3 "Channel" Map - Added Single/Coop ability to Kuban Map - Added Single/Coop ability to Kursk Map - Added Single/Coop ability to Prokhorovka Map * NEW FEATURE: Ability to create your own Rule or Plane set with a wizard integrated in the object database. Once you use it a few times, you will be able to create your customized Rule and Plane Sets for Single, Coop and Dogfights with great ease. You can use all search features in the Database, so if you wanted only Radial Soviet fighters from 1943 vs Inline German fighters from 1942, you could... it is all up to you. These rule sets will NOT be overwritten by future upgrades. Have fun. * 93 New sample uqmg data missions to get you going with the new features. The missions are located in the "save\upgrd0006" and are organized by map. New missions are divided roughly in the following categories: - Training missions for new composite flight training - Training missions for new V-1 - New historically based missions - Missions for new maps - Missions for new Net 3 objective feature - Missions using new weapons - Missions using new aircraft - Missions that are just plain fun * Ability to ban AI planes in Dogfight Arenas with a simple click in the main GUI, REGARDLESS of Rule Set. You can uncheck it if you want to use this UbiSoft/Maddox unsuported feature in a Rule Set that allows them. * Enormous improvements in the cloning features when it pertains to composite flights (Tug/Gliders, Mistel, Historical Aces, SPB) * Several other engine improvements which are too many to state. Super Upgrade 0005 +++++++++++++++++++++ * New, all-encompassing Mission Load/Save system – what you save is what you get, including custom features such as Rule Set, New User-Created Custom Briefings, New custom cloning features by flight, all in the single ".uqmg" data files you are used to. It is completely backwards compatible with your existing ".uqmg" files! * 3 New Single/Coop Enabled maps. These are the most complex and fun Air Combat templates ever. You will be sure to enjoy these maps and the 52 included "uqmg" missions to get you going. + Berlin - One 2-Front Air Combat Template o Flights 1&2 represent USA vs Germany (Northern/Western Fronts) o Flights 3&4 represent USSR vs Germany (Eastern Front) + Gulf of Finland Summer - 2 Different Air Combat Templates o USSR vs Germany (Southern Leningrad Front) o USSR vs Finland (Northern Leningrad Front) + Gulf of Finland Winter - Same as above - Modified to reflect naval forces moved to coast * New Full Briefing Interface with time saving features (True Date, Typical Headers, Multiplayer Tags). Now you can write a true briefing for your mission. The briefing system adds a whole new level to uqmg... the missions now have a personal feeling, meaning they feel more like the single play missions, and not simply a quickly generated mission. * Ground Attack Win Conditions for "Air Combat" mission types. Air combat missions' win conditions were all based on air objectives. Now UQMG supports Ground objectives, including an Easy version of it to be applicable to Air Combat templates. So now you can have the win condition based on the destruction of ground objects. Additionally, you can have the win perspective to be done based on each of the original flights, including the enemy flights for Defense of ground/naval assets missions. * Complete update of the cloning system to allow formation changes based on flight. Now you can define BY FLIGHT the clone spacing, AI skills, waves, etc... You can customize your missions to great levels with no hard work on your part; just a few clicks and that is it. Additionally, the cloning algorithm is completely done by code now. That improves the flexibility of it, and it no longer relies on a script file. * Over 70 new "uqmg" files/missions using new maps and features including FULL Briefing, and even ground objectives for Air Combat missions... it will feel like an upgrade for IL-2 with several . Each "uqmg" mission was carefully tested for playability. And these are just samples of the capabilities of uqmg’s new features… have virtually unlimited possibilities. * EVERY "uqmg" file has been carefully re-tested and updated with better playability and briefing. In total that is 147. [Attention: All UQMG files are organized by map, so when you go to the "uqmg" File Open menu, go to the "upgrd0005" folder to see new missions.] * 6 New ways to control how original and clone flights start the mission. You have complete control to mix and match by flights. You can even have some aircraft starting at the zone of combat while you have some starting at bases in the same team. Go to the Flight Editor and see them all. * 8 New "uqmg" mission templates set up very similarly to the way MS CFS Quick Missions are set up, where you fly against several waves of enemies. except that they will come as random planes based on a historical set, and the opponents change every time you click "Create Mission Now". * Full control of how the original and clone flights start the mission. There are 6 new ways to begin a mission: + Original Flight starts Flying Over base with Clones + Same as above, with delay spawn supported + Original Flight starts flying over base, clones start on runway. + Same as above, with delay spawn supported + Air Start (You can define whether a flight starts the mission in the base area or in the combat zone based on Flight, not the entire team.) + Same as above, with delay spawn supported * New "Dense World" capability for additional static and moving objects in certain maps. * Completely overhauled "in-program" Help system. Using UQMG is easier than ever. * All encompassing Randomizer update, which includes every type of data from a mission. * Completely revamped the user interface to add functionality and ease of use. Several features were tweaked and changed. * New Rule Sets for a better way to randomize German only planes. There are new versions of the USSR rule sets to include only Soviet and German planes (so that Rumanian, Polish, French, and Finish used planes are not displayed with the wrong markings.) * Amongst the several fixes, here are the prominent ones: - Net1 Maps now have complete sets of missions. - Net1 Winter, Net 2 Summer, Net 2 Winter, Net Islands, Stalingrad Summer and Stalingrad Winter non-Air Combat templates no longer need "Extra Objects/Vehicles" to be checked to work properly. - Net 2 maps now have advanced Air Combat with ground targets and new features - Net 2 Summer and Winter static planes received minor fix with correct countries and Bf-110s substitute German marked Pe3s. - Moscow Summer and Winter "Defend Friendly Airfield" mission objectives corrected - Advanced Cloning "Increment AI Skill" option did not work with 1 flight waves. That is corrected. * There are numerous other updates and features, but the new help system will be able to help you through it. Less reading... more playing. * All previous updates are included in this upgrade. Super Upgrade 0004 +++++++++++++++++++++ UQMG in the News ================ UQMG and www.uberdemon.com have been featured in the December Edition of two of the most respected flight simulation magazines in the world: Computer Pilot (Australia/USA) and PC Pilot (UK) magazines. Both magazines briefly talked about UQMG and featured the installation files for their readers. "The ultimate mission generator application for UbiSoft's IL2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles! Give it a go!" - Computer Pilot Magazine CD, December 2003 "... UQMG (Uber Quick Mission Generator) is an absolute must-download... Designed by a former IL2 beta tester, this free program is the ultimate alternative to the very limited Quick Mission Builder included in the game." - Computer Pilot Magazine, December 2003 (Exerpts from Virtual Aviator and Freeware Frenzy sections, pgs 25, 45) "Uber-Demonic Missions - A great mission utility for Forgotten Battles" - PC Pilot Magazine CD, December 2003 "... writing your own [mission] might not be everybody's cup of vodka. This is where Demian Souza's Uber Quick Mission Builder comes to the rescue. It's not a campaign generator, but you can use it to quickly generate brillant missions for Forgotten Battles. We're having a lot of fun with it and we're sure you will too." - PC Pilot Magazine, December 2003 (pg 8) Find out more about these two fine publications at their web sites: * http://www.computerpilot.com * http://www.pcpilot.net New UQMG 3.10.1 Features ======================== - Added ability to view latest update "README" file from UQMG. - Switched position of "Map" list with "Mission Type" list, which makes more sense. - Minor user interface change. Minor Fixes =========== - Disabled mission templates in Net 1 Summer map which do not work correctly - Bf-109G-14 MG151/20 Pod load fixed - Bf-109G-14 incorrect load of 1xSC500 corrected to 4xSC50 - If you are a QMT user, update QMT files from UQMG, under Tools menu. 4 New Maps for SINGLE and COOP Play (& DF Arena) ================================================ + Balaton Summer (1 Mission Type): o Enhanced Head-to-Head template for single and coop play (& DF Arena) * This template provides more manageable DF Arena as well * Main battle area over Lake Balaton * Improved briefing * 4 Hungarian Bases, w/ Hungarian marked static planes & Nimrod AAA * 2 US Bases, w/ US marked static planes, ground units & M16 AAA * 2 Soviet Bases, including ZSU37 AAA * Seaplanes takeoff from Lake Balaton * Most seaplanes land on water, but that cannot be guaranteed * Ground targets of opportunity including: - static naval transports & small to medium ships - Soviet & Hungarian static tanks - Soviet static train - US & Hungarian static vehicle columns protected by armoured cars and tanks - US & Hungarian static planes * AAA dispersed throughout map on unused bases & cities * Barrage ballons dispersed through Allied side * Observation baloons dispersed through Axis side + Balaton Winter (1 Mission Type): * Same features as Summer map * Minor adjustments on one Hungarian base due to slightly different position. * Seaplanes "take off" flying just above frozen Lake Balaton * Landing of seplanes is not guaranteed because of AI and frozen lake + Moscow Summer (8 Mission Types) 8 New templates for single and coop play (& DF Arena): o Air Combat Over German Area o Air Combat Over Soviet Area o Attack Enemy Ground Units o Attack Enemy Bridge o Attack Enemy Airbase o Defend Friendly Ground Units o Defend Friendly Bridge o Defend Friendly Airbase This map and its new templates are inspired by the basic QMB mission types for the Winter Moscow map which came with IL2FB out of the box, however they include powerful enhancements: * Ability to take off from a base in addition to starting the mission on head to head fashion * Populated bases with ground objects and AAA * Ground targets of opportunity for the two Air Combat mission types * Ability to play each mission type as Coop AND DF Arena in addition to Single Play * Night enabled missions with lighted runways and searchlights when the mission starts at a certain time or in bad weather. * Enhanced population of surrounding area for more realistic play. These templates includes many of the AAA found in the original DF Arena template, however since the map is so large, only the surrounding area applicable to the particular mission is populated to help with FPS management, in addition to making DF Arenas more manageable, limiting base spawning to the area of interest as opposed to the entire map, if desired. * Front Markers * Mission Objectives * The ability to play from the enemy's perspective with Defense templates, where you fly in defense of Bridges, Ground Units and your own airbase which is under attack. * Use all UQMG enhancements: - Fly any flight in any position - Seplanes, Gliders and Tug/Glider combos - Historical Aces that do not get repeated - Random missions based on rule set - Up to throusands of planes in a mission surpassing 32 plane limit in QMB - Fly in MS CFS Quick mode with new Clone waving feature, even random planes... - So much more. + Moscow Winter (8 Mission Types) * Same features as Summer map 4 New Mission Types For Smolensk Map ==================================== + Smolensk (4 New Mission Types) The Smolensk mission types were also building on the basic QMB templates. As a bonus you are getting 4 New greatly enhanced mission types for this map, including all the same types of features you see on the Moscow template: o Attack Enemy Bridge o Attack Enemy Airbase o Defend Friendly Bridge o Defend Friendly Airbase 4 New Rule Sets =============== Now that the Balaton maps are ready, I created some new rule sets based on Hungary: * 1944 Hungary/Balaton * 1944 Hungary/Balaton - Flyable planes only * 1944 Hungary - featuring US planes as well * 1944 Hungary - featuring US planes as well (flyables only) 8 New UQMG Data File Missions ============================= I've included 8 new ".uqmg" data files to get you going with the new maps. When you start UQMG after the upgrade, it will have a new mission loaded. Click "Create Mission Now" and start enjoying Balaton. The new data files are named "upgrd0004...". Remember, these are just to get you started. You can change them quickly to fit your needs, and of course, you can create and save your own - that is the whole point of UQMG. If a mission does not behave properly in your computer (low FPS), try disabling some of the ground objects or decreasing the number of planes. Also keep in mind that in the initial minutes of a mission, there will be FPS decreases. As the mission progresses the FPS improves. Super Upgrade 0003 +++++++++++++++++++++ Exciting New "Ultimate" Features of UQMG 3.9.7: =============================================== * IL-2 FB will literally never be the same... keep in mind each of these features take maybe a few seconds to configure, and generating a mission is EASY... you know that. * Let the fun begin: Randomize Clone flight formations based on Rule Sets! Now you can have HUGE flight formations with different types of aircraft all based in Rule sets... No mission is ever the same, but it is consitent with the Rule Set you want... So if you selected the 1944 Luftwaffe vs. Mighty 8th, you will only get the types of planes available for that scenario. Of course you can enable/disable this feature as you please. * Remember the MS CFS series Quick Missions? Where you fly against endless waves of planes for training and fun? Guess what? UQMG now brings that feature to IL-2 FB. If you select Spawn option "1" you now get delayed spawn BOTH in AIR as well as Ground Start! With up to 340 Clones per flight... you can play for days! Who needs friends? Combine this feature with Clone flight randomization and you have no idea what friendly and/or enemies are coming next! * Not enough? Not only can you define how often you want a new wave to appear (in minutes), you can specify how many flights are in a wave... so, say you have a flight of 3 B-17s... and you select 11 clones of that flight (total of 12 flights). Now say you want 3 flights per wave at 10 minute increments. When the mission starts you may get 3xB-17 + 3xP-47 + 3xB-17, at 10 minutes, you may get 3xC-47 + 3xP-51 + 3xB17, at 20 minutes you may get 3xP51 + 3xB17 + 3xP47... Who knows? Every time you click Create Mission Now button you get a brand new version of that mission. * Still not happy? You can either have the AI skill of the Waves increase evenly distributed in time, or you can have each flights with randomized AI skills... Again, you have no idea what is coming next... it is all random... * Oh yeah... and then there is the next feature: * Change Clone Settings... do you want to change the spacing and height amongst Clone flights? Now you can... set them as close or as far as you want... and all with an easy interface that does not require a college course to understand. You can even have Clones below or at same level as original flight. * As a bonus, you can customize Clone flight air-start over a runway with two features. (Option "0" for Clone Spawn) * You may literally have to set your aircraft with unlimited ammo and unlimited fuel because you are going to have so much fun with IL-2 now, you can't even imagine. * Now that I told you this... remember that you can have all of this fun ONLINE during coop... create a mission with huge amounts of waves and you and your friends, or enemies can have a ball. * Yes, you get all the features from IL2 FB 1.21, the new official patch, as described below... plus a ton more (4 new maps too...) IL-2 FB 1.21 Updates in UQMG: ============================= * New Flyable Aircraft: P-51 D-5NT (4 weapons), A6M5a (1 weapon), Ki-84Ia (2 weapons) * New AI Aircraft: B-17G (2 weapons), C-47 (1 weapon) * New Tug/Glider Flights: C-47+Me-321, C-47+G-11 * New Weapons: P-51 D-20NA (4), Bf-110 G-2 (24 new, 34 total) * Updated Tug/Glider Weapons: Bf-110G-2+ Me-321 & G-11 * Updated Object Database w/ new aircraft and P-51D-20, Bf-110G-2 changes. * New Country: Japan * New Units: 1 Japanese, 181 American, 19 British 4 New Fully Detailed Map Templates for Single / Coop and Dogfights ================================================================== * New Online 8 Islands "Pacific" - Japanese and US bases w/ correct country markings for static planes - New moving and static ground/naval objects, buildings and artillery * New Ardennes Summer Map (Battle of the Bulge) - German and US bases w/ correct country markings for static planes - New moving and static ground objects, buildings and artillery * New Ardennes Winter Map (Battle of the Bulge) - German and US bases w/ correct country markings for static planes - New moving and static ground objects, buildings and artillery * New Normandy w/ Island Map (Omaha Beach and Pointe-du-Hoe) - German and US/UK bases w/ correct country markings for static planes - New moving and static Naval/ground objects, buildings and artillery 8 New Rule Sets for Online Dogfights, Random and Custom Built Single or Coop Missions ===================================================================================== * 1944 Normandy (All inclusive and Flyables only sets) * 1943 Pacific (All inclusive and Flyables only sets) * 1944 Pacific (All inclusive and Flyables only sets) * 1945 Pacific (All inclusive and Flyables only sets) 5 New Sample UQMG data files (missions) ======================================= * Blue - 24xZero vs 24xP47, Pacific * Blue - Ki84 vs B17&P51, Pacific * Red - P51 Ardennes Summer, Battle of the Bulge * Red - P51 Ardennes Winter, Battle of the Bulge * Red - P51&P47 Normandy, Omaha Beach After installing this update, UQMG will start with the P51 Ardennes Winter mission. Other New Features: =================== * New help tips (Yellow Buttons) * Right click = Cancel or Esc on the Object DB and Flight Editor (must click on empty areas or picture) * Convenient minimize button by Create Mission Now button. Improvements and Updates: ========================= * The AI improvements of FB 1.21 are so immense that this update will reset the spawn of gliders on Tug/Glider combos to zero, although you can change them in the Advanced menu. * Total Number of Clones allowed per flight now is increased to 340 (so 8 flights x 340), for a grand total of up to 10912 aircraft per mission, which can of course also be used in waves (delayed spawn). * Calculator * Updated help documentation to reflect previous updates. * Updated integration with Shift_E's QMT 1.0.85 bypasing QMT splash-screen when started from UQMG. * Historical Ace flights now have better positioning between the Historical Ace airplane and the supporting wingmen, whether the mission starts on the ground or on air. * New Country markings for Static Planes (applicable maps updated) * New Static Planes, Ground/Naval Objects (applicable maps updated) * All Rule sets have been updated to reflect new aircraft. Where proper, B-17Gs replace Pe-8s, and C-47s replace Li-2s. Bug Fixes: ========== * Fixed bug which duplicated all ground objects in certain bases. * Fixed bug which did not allow historical Ace flights from starting in improvised airfields. This was an issue only in Net Map 2 Summer and Winter. * Fixed bug in which clones from two original flights that shared the same base would crash due to sharing same waypoint. This was an issue for clone flights that had option "0" for spawn. * Fixed bug in which historical Ace Clone flights would be copies of the actual Ace flight. Now only the original flight has the historical Ace plane. All other planes are of the same type as the historical Ace. For example, you will not see 10 Erich Hartmann Clones flying. Current Issues/Bugs: ==================== * The following maps require any mission type with Ground/Naval attack objectives to have the "Extra Vehicles" and "Extra Objects" options to be checked for the mission to behave properly: - Net 1 Winter - Net 2 Summer - Net 2 Winter - Net I Islands - Stalingrad Summer - Stalingrad Winter Super Upgrade 0002 +++++++++++++++++++++ 1. Net 6 "Square Island" Map Addition ------------------------------------- This new map has been enabled for Single Player and Coop using "Head-To-Head Air Combat" template, in addition to Dogfight Arena. The map has a Mediterranean feel to it. Many aspects of the DF Arena were kept, but were significantly improved with the following additions and features: * Building structures for Racing-type runways * Moving convoys and tank formations moving both in the outer perimeters as well as hidden within mountains * Moving Ships around Island * Fully equipped bases, including moving AA Units * Static Ground and Static Naval Targets for more involved gameplay * Miscellaneous objects throughout the map * Ten new uqmg missions (5 for Red team, 5 for Blue Team) to get you started enjoying the new maps, all using cloning feature which allows more than 32 planes per mission for exciting gameplay. All missions have all ground features enabled (for faster PCs with more RAM and video power), however you should uncheck all of them except for Ground Targets for best gameplay in the air. If your performance is poor, I suggest trying DirectX instead of OpenGL, and tuning IL-2 FB video options down. * "upgrd0002 - Blue - Bomb Convoy.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 42. Lead a formation of 18 He-111s and bomb a stopped truck convoy. You will be escorted by 8 Bf-109Es, and you will face 8 P-40s and 8 Hurricanes. * "upgrd0002 - Blue - Intercept Bombers En Route to Airfield.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 54. You are a Jabo pilot forced to scramble 12 Bf-109E/Bs against an incoming formation of 28 Blenheims escorted by 6 P-40s. 8 Bf-109Fs with assist you by dealing with the fighters. * "upgrd0002 - Blue - Intercept US Naval Bombers.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 45. Fly a Bf-109E7 in a formation of 12 and intercept 21 Catalinas escorted by 8 B-239s. 4 IAR 80s will be around to help you. * "upgrd0002 - Blue - Stuka Naval Attack.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 42. Fly in a formation or 18 Stukas, and dive bomb a Naval convoy. You will be escorted by 8 Bf-110s. Opposition will consist of 8 Hurricanes and 8 P-40s. * "upgrd0002 - Blue - Torpedo Attack.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 42. Fly in a formation or 18 He-111s, and attack a Naval convoy. You will be escorted by 8 Italian MC202s. Opposition will consist of 8 P-40s and 6 Free-French P-39s. * "upgrd0002 - Red - Escort Bombers on Airfield Attack.uqmg" - Same as 'upgrd0002 - Blue - Bomb Convoy.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes', but you fly for Allies escorting the bombers. Try to concentrate on the Bf-109E's. * "upgrd0002 - Red - LaggIT&MiG vs He111&321&109.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 56. Lead a flight of 9 LaGG-3 IT (with huge cannon) intercepting 15 He-111Z/Me321 Tug/Glider trains that are escorted by 8 Bf-109G-2s. You will receive help from 9 MiG-3Us. * "upgrd0002 - Red - Luft46 Intercept German Nukes.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 37. I have read extensively on the development of aircraft guns. One of the reasons the US aircraft favored the 50 caliber Browning heavy machine guns was its availability, excellent performance, and the fact that the US did not have to fight against heavy bombers. If the War turned out to go a different way and Germany did in fact develop an "Amerika" bomber, US fliers may have had to deal with the modification of their aircraft to include cannons. Only 3 aircraft from the USAAF had 20mm guns, the P-38 Lightning, the P-61 Black Widow night fighter, and some versions of the B-29 Superfortress. The US Navy used some cannons in later versions of their fighters. The only fighter readily available to be deployed with a heavy cannon would have been the "unloved" P-39 Airacobra (Althought the P-38 may have been a good interim choice). Test its performance against a formation of 15 German heavy bombers carrying a devastating load. You will lead 8 Airacobras escorted by 6 P-51s. The Germans will have 8 He-162 jets escorting. * "upgrd0002 - Red - Crete Paratroopers.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 45. Scramble in 3 British Brewster Buffaloes (used briefly by the British in the Mediterranean/Balkans) and join your 6 mates to intercept 21 Ju-52s escorted by 6 Italian Fiats. 9 Hurricanes will join you also. * "upgrd0002 - Red - P-47 Strafe Me262s.uqmg" - Total Number of Planes: 36. The Me-262 was most vulnerable during takeoff and landing. Lead P-47's and try to catch as many as you can of the 12 Me-262s before they takeoff. You will lead 12 P-47s on the strafing run, carrying extra ammo. Eight additional P-47s will be carrying rockets and will be on route to another base nearby. They will be more vulnerable to enemy aircraft because of the degraded performance. Fortunately the Fw-190D-9's are late. Hit as many Me-262's as you can then Get out! Beware of the Me-262s that get airborne. You will be cannon fodder for them. Also be careful about the Dora-9's overhead, they will be hard to deal with. 2. QMT Integration Complete ------------------------------------- QMT (the old version) is now available at . If you have questions on QMT, please e-mail Shift_E at . Shift_E's Quick Mission Tuner (QMT) has impressed me so much that I asked him if he would like to work on some minor integration. We have accomplished some good things, so I am releasing my integration a little ahead of schedule before he finishes the new version of QMT. QMT is a mission modifier/editor, and not a generator, like UQMG. After you create a mission with UQMG, you can start QMT and modify things like: * Skin for all aircraft in the mission * Change weapons in an aircraft - very useful for clone flights to have different configs. * Assign player aircraft to a clone flight. * Disable markings * Make aircraft available as AI only. * Fine tune mission parameters like waypoints etc... To configure QMT within UQMG, go to the UQMG "Tools" menu and choose the QMT options. In UQMG, you will be able to aply the changes in the single player mission to be duplicated into the Coop mission, which is convenient for the player. When the new version of QMT comes out you will be able to: * Assign all aircraft in a flight to have a particular skin * Change the type of airplane in a flight - very useful if you want clones of different types. * Edit the briefing of the mission. * You will have full integration with UQMG, meaning regardless of which is the default directory in QMT, UQMG will be able to launch QMT at the correct location where the UQMG mission is, and only allowing you to edit the current mission. * The new version of QMT is using the initialization files from UQMG, so when you update UQMG with new aircraft and weapons, you will be able to update the initialization files of QMT to be able to support the new aircraft and weapons. You will be able to do this update directly from the UQMG Tools menu. * Many useful features, and even maybe a surprise or two from Shift_E. 3. International Cloning Feature Fix ------------------------------------- Many people have had problem using the Cloning feature which allows copies of flights to be placed in a mission, increasing the 32 aircraft total limitation of both QMB and UQMG exponentially. The problem is seen in PCs that do not use the USA settigs which use ',' as the fractional separator as opposed to '.'. The fix was to go into the Control Panel and change the settings to USA. That was a big mistake on my part and I have completely fixed that problem. Regardless of your country settings, you will have the ability to use UQMG cloning. 4. New Advanced Features ------------------------------------- There is a new advanced menu option with two interesting features: * Change Tug Delay - Unfortunately the AI for Glider behavior when under tow by a Tug is not too stable. It takes careful waypoint planning to allow the proper behavior especially during takeoff. You may have noticed that if you have Tugs start on the runway, the gliders only appear a few minutes after the tug take off. You can now change that delay or you can even disable the delay completely so that the glider will be present at take off; however be warned that the flight may not behave as expected, and some runways may have objects that will interfere with take off; particularly if Clones are present. In general, if you place all clones in the runway, you will have a whole lot of crashing going on. But the option is there for you to experiment with. (This does not affect missions that have teams starting on the air.) * Change Height for Clone "Runway" Start - One way to overcome runway crowding is to provide different ways for clone flights to start the mission. In the Flight Editor, if you pick the Clone Take Off Behavior "0 - Start Flying Over Base", you will notice that the original flight will start on the runway/ground (or water), but the Clones will start flying around the takeoff point of the original flight. This option allows you to experiment with different heights for you to give the flights to start, from 10 meters (barely above the ground) to 1000 meters in increments of 10 meters. 5. New background Image ------------------------------------- I (by that I mean my wife) updated the UQMG background picture you see when you play UQMG single player missions in IL2 FB. It is no longer in black and white. It now has a brownish tint like the other background pictures in IL-2 FB. The first time you generate a new mission with this upgrade, the picture will be updated. 6. Fixes/Features ------------------------------------- * In the flight editor, now you can also uncheck all of the duplication features. * Fixed cloning so that Ace flights can be used with Takeoff option "0 - Start Flying Over Base", as opposed to crashing. * Fixed cloning so that Takeoff option "0 - Start Flying Over Base" can be used in the Net 1 Winter, Net 2 Summer, Net 2 Winter, and Net Islands maps. Super Upgrade 0001 +++++++++++++++++++++ 1. More than 32 Aircraft Upgrade (originally patch0002) ------------------------------------------------------- * (Way) More than 32 aircraft per mission now is enabled in UQMG with a feature I developed called Cloning, which uses algorithms I developed. Finally UQMG should become a real alternative to QMB allowing more than 32 total aircraft per mission. Each flight in UQMG can have up to 45 Clone flights which are placed in different positions in relation to the original flight. This means that a mission could have a total of 368 Flights, or 1472 Aircraft. Although most PC's today would choke at those figures, I have developed algorithms that make using that many aircraft a reality through possible waves of flights which are automatically calculated for you. The important thing is that you have more flexibility than ever. You can set up your missions in an almost infinite set of ways. For example, you could have the original flight have 2 planes. Which means all clones of that flight would have 2 aircraft as well. You could have a flight of 1 plane and have clones of one plane. Similarly you could have flights of 3 or 4 aircraft that have clones of the same quantity. This means you could have a mission of huge proportions just using one friendly flight and one enemy flight. Take for example a traditional simple UQMG mission with 2 P-39's against 3 He-111's. That is a fun mission on its own. With the Cloning feature, all you have to do is go to the usual Flight editor and select how many Clones you want. So lets say you select 6 Clones of your flight and 12 clones of the enemy flight... Now suddenly with a couple of extra clicks you have a fairly huge battle in the air comprising of: * 2 + 2x6 = 14 P-39's * 3 + 3x12 = 39 He-111 Dont' forget you still have all the cool features you are used to... and that was using just two flights... you still have 6 to spare, and the fact you have up to 45 Clones per flight... Are you getting excited yet? Remember that all missions get copied as Coop missions as well so you can have some pretty exciting Coop missions. I have built missions with a over 100 planes that worked pretty well. Special Flights of Tugs with Gliders, a favorite UQMG feature, was not left out. So if you have a flight of Tug/Glider combo, you can Clone it like anything else. It is that simple, up to 45 Clones for that flight. An important part of this algorithm is Taking Off behavior. You can start your mission in takeoff mode with 3 Choices in the Flight Editor 1 - Have the Original Flight Take off normally, and all cloned flights begin mission flying over the runway. 2 - Have Delayed takeoff done normally. This is done with a special algorithm that automatically calculates when a flight will appear depending on flight, and clone magnitude. This avoids flights appearing and crashing at runway. Most importatnly this feature adds Wave effect. You could have a mission with a huge number of planes but only have them appear in intervals, ensuring a constant flow of aircraft in a mission. 3 - You can have aircraft start normally. If the number of Clones is too high, you may run the risk of overcrowding a runway, meaning the mission may not start. Limitations/Problems with this feature: - The more aircraft you have, the slower the performance of your game, and the more possible collisions. - Sometimes a few tug/glider combos do not get cloned correctly. It happens in the blue side and only in up to 4 cloned flights. - There are only up to 16 flights per generic country regiment, such as r01, g01 usa01, fr01, etc... meaning that if you clone an American flight more than 15 times, you will have aircraft that use markings for another country. No way around that. There is a limitation on IL-2 in that. * Added ability to keep Clone settings when switching between mision types and maps. Settings are saved. * Added the ability to manually configure IL2 FB location. That should help some users. The feature is in the Tools menu. * Added minor ability to communicate with Shift_E's Quick Mission Tuner EXCELLENT IL-2 FB 3rd party application. As you may know, we are trying to collaborate on some projects. You can configure it from the Tools menu in UQMG. After you generate a mission, you can run QMT going to one of the UQMG directoroes in IL2 and fine tune a mission, adding things like Skins, etc. I highly recommend this application. * 8 new "uqmg" missions that can be loaded from the UQMG File->Open Menu using the new cloning feature. 4 are for Red Team and 4 are for Blue Team. The missions are: - "patch 0002 - Red - 14xP-39 vs 180xMe-321.uqmg" - Just what it says. You fly a P-39 with extra ammo and you do a turkey shoot against count them, 180 Gigant gliders. This is on the Islands map. It work OK because the Me-321 does not have overtaxiing AI. - "patch 0002 - Red - Huge BoB.uqmg" - Too much to describe in this Battle of Britain scenario. You will fly a Hurricane, and gradually more aircraft are going to appear. As you struggle against the Germans, your Blenheims will make attempts accross the Channel. There are plenty of aircraft that come in waves. Much more than 32 but not enough to kill enjoyment. - "patch 0002 - Red - P40 vs Ju52.uqmg" - 12 P-40's vs 54 unnescorted Ju-52's. Enough said. - "patch 0002 - Red - P47&Tug vs IAR&210.uqmg" - You lead 16 P-47's that are escorting 16 (yes count them) British C-47/Air Horsa Tug/Glider Combos (Li-2/G-11). While you try to fend-off 16 pesky IAR 80's, you have to protect your cargos from 8 Hungarian Me-210s. - "patch 0002 - Blue - 14x190 vs 90xPe-8.uqmg" - The name kinda gives it away. Over the sea, you lead 14 Fw190's with dual MG151/20 gondolas, you stumble upon 90 (yes - ninety) unescorted B-17's (Pe-8's) from the USAAF and RAF. Do your worst. - "patch 0002 - Blue - Biplanes.uqmg" - A fun and wacky mission with 20 German I-153's, 20 German U-2 bombers, 20 French I-153s, and 20 British U-2 bombers. - "patch 0002 - Blue - Huge BoB.uqmg" - Same as the Red mission with some modifications. You fly Jabo in this large mission. - "patch 0002 - Blue - Seaplane Fest.uqmg" - You lead 12 Bf109K's with MK108 gondolas and go against the enemy's 20 Beriev's and 20 Catalina float planes. The enemy is flying 12 Yak-9Ts, and is trying to shoot down your 20 Ar-196s and 20 Ju-52 Float planes. *** REMEMBER you can play these missions in Coop as well, as well as build your own, or modify these. 2. UQMG Calculator (never released before patch0003) ---------------------------------------------------- This new upgrade patch adds more functionality to UQMG. The following are a list of features: * NEW UQMG Calculator. Right above the grid you will see a new button called "Total Number of Planes". Click that button for at any time find out how many planes will be in your mission. The display presents the information in detail, including aircraft at the start of the mission, as well as delayed planes. The calculation takes into account Clones that may be delayed. Limitations: Delay in player flight does not count towards delay in coop planes. To fix this, do not set delay to player flight. Delay in gliders from Tug/Glider combos during takeoff are not counted as delay. Count them as being present in the beginning of the mission, although there may be a slight delay. * Fixed interaction with Shift_E's Quick Mission Tuner (QMT). Before, UQMG started the application twice. The type of button was changed and the code fixed. QMT is only called once. Limitation: Button in UQMG cannot have white colored fonts. * Added direct link to UberDemon's Web site in the Help menu. * Added ability to display UQMG version information in a consolidated and simple manner in the Help menu. * Added help tip in the Flight editor concerning using Air Attack Interception for Clones. * Moved Li-2 in Red Base 1 for Net 1 Map Summer & Winter which caused aircraft to crash upon landing taxi. * Fixed Buildings for Net 1 Winter map so that they are now the correct Winter structures. 3. International Patch (originally patch0001) --------------------------------------------- Some of you have been having problems with UQMG because of a particular message: * "Could not create directories in the IL-2 FB 'Missions' subfolder. Please make sure that the permissions to create directories are set in your PC in that directory. UQMG will now close." The problem is entirely my fault. Because I decided to be cute and add the 'U' with an umlat accent, I created a problem for computers that use a particular UNICODE set, such as Hebrew, and most likely Korean, Chinese, Japanese, etc. I have fixed this problem with this International patch. 4. Net 7 - "Racing Islands" Map Addition (originally addon0001) --------------------------------------------------------------- * Net 7 Map fully functional in Single/Coop/Dogfight - Added "Head-To-Head Air Combat (Default)" mission. * Two "uqmg" missions that can be loaded using the new map. Both are set up using the "1943 UK Night" rule set. In the Red Team version you fly Hurricanes that scramble to intercept German types at night. In the Blue Team version you fly the same version of the mission as an He-111 pilot en route to bomb a British Airfield. The missions are called: - "addon 0001 - Red - Hurricane Scramble.uqmg" - "addon 0001 - Blue - Bomb British Airfield.uqmg" 5. Net 4 "Mountains" Map Addition (originally addon0002) -------------------------------------------------------- * Net 4 "Mountains" Map fully functional in Single/Coop/Dogfight - Added "Head-To-Head Air Combat (Default)" mission. * Four new "uqmg" missions that can be loaded from the UQMG File->Open Menu using the new map. Two use the "1943 Italy" rule set, and two use "1944 Mighty 8th vs Luftwaffe". The missions are: - "addon 0002 - Blue - Aviano 109s vs Jugs.uqmg" - This mission is based in a tragic incident for Italy, in which Aviano lost almost its entire complement of 24 newly acquired Bf-109G-6s when they were bounced by US P-47s who were escorting B-25's over Ghedi. You get to fly for Italy in a late model Bf-109G-6, and perhaps change History. - "addon 0002 - Blue - Komets vs Fortresses.uqmg" - In this mission, you fly a BI-1, pretending it is a German Me-163 Komet rocket interceptor. You will be escorted by some Bf-109's. You are to intercept B-17's (Pe-8's) who are escorted by P-51D's. - "addon 0002 - Red - Escort Bombers.uqmg" - Fly a P-47D and escort the B-17's (Pe-8's) from a variety of attackers. - "addon 0002 - Red - Italy 43 Against Odds.uqmg" - Fly a P-47 Razor back along with a few Free-French P-39N-1's against some of the best pilots from Italy and Germay.
